For a few days out of each month, I make plans, then throw them out once I get going. I live two lives: one where I am too busy to breathe, and the other begins in that moment that you finally gasp for air. For me, the latter is when I get in the car and drive. For a few short days a month, I get to do what I want, no agenda (well, a loose one, anyway!), no pressures, no one begging for my attention, and me feeling terrible that I can't always give it. My moment of finally getting that intake of air is when I leave the city limits.
