Photography - Digital Manipulation. Yuma Territorial Prison, Yuma, Arizona. Active from 1876 to 1909 - now a Arizona State Park. A few of the doors into each cell are seen in this image. Each cell was about 10 feet by 15 feet (a little larger than an average bedroom) and housed 12 inmates. Toilet facilities were a simple bucket for everyones use.
