My Beautiful Shaelyn

I have to admit I did not take this image. It is a Selfie my granddaughter Shaelyn took but I played a bit in Photoshop with it. Shaelyn turned 16 on April 23rd. Where did the years go? Did I tell her all the things that my Heart hoped to over the years? Does she know just how much I Love her? Soon she will be off searching for her future in this big world. Of course I worry for her - it's not such a 'safe' world out there these days. When I look back to how things were when I was 16 - I almost wish we could go back. No being so consumed with Social Media, yes there was bullying but it was not Cyber in nature. I just want for her to be safe, happy and to be able to pursue a future that will allow her some Artistic Freedom. She already is interested in Photography and Media Arts. She has my Heart, just like my daughter does - us 'girls' have to stick together ! :)
