Location
This Photo was actually taken in my back garden and shot under natural daylight.Time
The sun was high in the sky, but I made sure that I was in the shade of the kitchen building as too bright sunshine would have led to far too many hard shadows.Lighting
The light was coming from above but it was shady standing next to my kitchen’s patio doors.Equipment
I used my Nikon d5300 with my Manfrotto tripod. Flash was not needed.Inspiration
I love the idea of substances that do not mix or that create interesting textures. This image is actually a shot of washing up liquid bubbles shot with a macro lens and tilted towards the light to bring out the full beauty of the soap suds.Editing
Some post processing was involved but only light edits. In my camera bag
My camera bag comprises a Nikon d5300 and a d750 with a 50mm Nikkor lens and a Sigma macro 105mm lens. I also own a couple of wide angle lenses.Feedback
This is a tricky shot to produce and takes lots of practice and patience. There’s not really any magic to it except sheer determination to get the angles right in order to capture the beauty of the bubbles.
