The wedding day is considered to be the most important day of a woman's life. However, relationships and expectations are often more complicated than they appear from the outside. 'Jilted Lover' attempts to capture the loneliness and despair that one feels when the connection between two people collapses.

Alternatively, the series of photographs address the complications and adversities that women from traditional cultural backgrounds experience. Governed by societal expectations, women are forced to submit to their tragic fate as mere accessories to the patriarchal world. Their vulnerability and helplessness therefore becomes the central point to this work, whereby the presence of these emotional states appear almost tangible, yet untouchable at the same time.
