Single Socks Fly North

I've posted a very similar image before, in fact not to long ago. Sometimes as I'm reminded again and again, "one should sit on an image and really let it sink in, make sure its how its supposed to feel". The idea of sharing so quickly I think ads some sincerity to the moment, but does it carry your message across oceans, will it find that lonely sole that gets it. At the end of the day, isn't it enough to reach just one, touch just one, establish that connection with a single other sole. I'm genuinely not looking to awe or wow everyone. For that matter not even most. Some images just touch me so much and maybe I'm alone in that regarding my work, but when I revisit some pieces and see that they have more depth now then I thought they did then, I just have to throw another bottle, with a similar message across that same ocean, hopefully it will arrive upon the same sands. Art, "If that's what I'm calling my work", kills me, pushes me so hard and never leaves my mind.
Does everyone walk into a room or new exciting environment and question the lighting each and every time, every moment searching for a meaning that explains it all in a snap shot? What is the ultimate end to this obsession? When you get that perfect image is it over. Did Picasso ever say, " I can't go further, that's it, I'm done, There's no more? Must your heart shatter before it come together and find some piece of truth in a world of make believe. Un-edited, hope it makes sense, spelling and grammar, sincerity off the cuff.....
