This photo was taken in the rear garden of my home, I was sitting in my conservatory having a cup of tea whilst checking my camera settings. I noticed this robin had been flying around and landing in my garden here and there... the swingball set is quite central to the garden and then saw it perched on top I clicked.away instantly !! Great timing...Time
This shot was mid morning with the sun being quite low hence the vivid colours with the light providing much more clarity to the overall image..Lighting
As I said previously the low angled sunlight from the rising Sun that morning greatly aided in the shot being what it was.Equipment
Nikon D500 with a 70-300mm lens no tripod but did lean against a door frame for stability.Inspiration
The robin eptimises winter in the north of England, being so close to this bird in perfect conditions that morning I couldn't resist.Editing
No post processing this was filter free.In my camera bag
Recently upgraded to new lenses but generally Nikon D500 with a 50mm and 70-300mm lens, as I specialise in sports photography mainly football.Feedback
Be patient, have your camera close by at all times don't be afraid to take advantage of more light certainly sunlight! Position yourself with the light behind you.
