Location
This photo was taken at the Ayutthaya complex (specifically Wat Mahathat) in ThailandTime
I was on a tour so I am not certain of the time but it was in the afternoon, this part of the complex is rather shady with the tree cover.Lighting
This is all natural light, open shade. The external sun was very harsh and hot so in the shade was extra niceEquipment
Taken with a Nikon d3300, 18-55mm f/8Inspiration
Admittedly this is a very Touristy thing to photograph but the symbolism of how nature will take back over once people abandon an area is a strong and amazing sight to beholdEditing
some colour correction and cropping, on looking back I need to do some more cropping and might manipulate the shadows a bit moreIn my camera bag
It depends on where I am going and what I am doing but my Nikon 35 and 50 mm 1.8 primes seem to always be packed regardless of the situationFeedback
South east Asia has a huge amount of ruins and amazing sights, most of the places are accessible via guided tours but be warned these can get very crowded so be prepared to either be very patient or very pushy, or both
