This picture was taking while hiking the GR-20 in Corsica, a southern island of France. This trail is known to be the most difficult trial in all of Europe. I can certainly remember the difficult times, the lack of energy, the never-ending uphill, and the constant slipping on loose rocks. But what stands out the most are the beautiful memories of stillness that came from being immersed in nature. Standing on one mountain and overlooking the valley to the peaks we had crossed made me feel invincible and oh-so-small all at the same time. I believe this photograph captures that relationship between man and mountain.
