You fear me because I am wild. You think I'm crazy because I am hopeful when the world seems to be against me. You might not like me because I stand against the most difficult situations and keep coming back against all odds. I am the flower that will give you strength to be yourself. I am the flower that will make you realize it's perfectly alright to stand out. I am the flower that will make you believe in the rain in spite of a drought. I am that flower you will find inside of you if you just look deep within yourself.

They say that a picture is worth a thousand words. This is one of my favorite photographs from Death Valley National Park. It is a picture that I can write multiple stories about and the moment I saw it, I looked like it was just put there behind these bushes waiting for me. All I can say is a look at it, and it gives me hope.
