Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken at the Grand Canyon in Arizona, USA. I’m far from a professional photographer and just like to take photos of nature.

Time

It was around an hour or so before sunset.

Lighting

I was in awe of the rich colors in the layers of rock against the grey clouds and vibrant blue sky with the sun-cast shadows giving depth to the canyon miles away.

Equipment

This photo was taken with an iPhone.

Inspiration

I love the look of dead or raw trees. The thought of everything mother nature throws at them and the resiliency of trees, it gives me hope that maybe mankind can come back stronger every year.

Editing

I normally use an app called Aviary to brighten my photos, which I did use here.

In my camera bag

Just the phone in my pocket.
