I took this image back in 2012 just as Myanmar was beginning to open up to tourism. Whilst all other photographers were climbing stupas for their sunset shots, I decided to take my group to a lower perspective allowing the stupas to rise up above the mountain range in the background. This image became so popular in Myanmar that soon after many photographers from across the country headed to Bagan in hope of getting the same image. Sadly it is no longer possible to get this shot as horse carts have been replaced by buses.
