Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in a studio back in early 2017. The model was new to me but we immediately felt there was a connection between us. Her name is Dominica she is simply super. She can wear everything and always looks good and she also has the ability to perform as is required for the set-up. So this was to be a Dessous shot and what can I say, here we go and it was a real pleasure doing the shooting and besides, we hat loads of fun, talked about everything during the shooting and during the coffee breaks.

Time

We worked with studio light and shot during the afternoon into the evening.

Lighting

The entire shooting was done with studio lights

Equipment

The camera used was a Canon EOS 6D and EOS 5D m IV. The lenses used were EF 50mm f 1.2, EF 24-70mm f.2.8

Inspiration

I wanted to do something on a sofa, so we checked out the outfits available and decided to do some Dessous shooting on the sofa. Actually there are some more photos out of that series.

Editing

My pos processing is mostly done in LR.

In my camera bag

For model shooting I use Canon EOS 5D m IV, EOS R and still my EOS 6D, lenses are EF 50mm f1.2, EF 85mm f1,2, EF 24-70mm f2.8 and EF 70-200mm f2.8 iii

Feedback

You really need to have an idea about what you want to shoot. Be clear about the frame, meaning what must be in the photo. Do not start cropping the pic later. The photo you shoot should be exactly what you want. Set up your light correctly and when everything is ready start shooting and the model can start posing.
