Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in my front yard in North Carolina, actually shot on my old phone with not the greatest camera quality.

Time

This picture was taken in the afternoon around 4:00 pm. I remember taking this picture and being so excited that I actually got all three sucks to look at the camera.

Lighting

Because I was such a beginner photographer at the time, lighting did not even cross my mind. My number one concern was getting the ducks to look in the direction of the camera.

Equipment

As I mentioned earlier, this was taken on my old phone with no tripod or any type of equipment. I was actually laying down on the ground with my phone level on the ground to capture this.

Inspiration

I love animals and I wanted to get more into photography so when I got baby ducks I knew it was the perfect opportunity to combine the two.

Editing

Honestly, no. I took the picture, freaked out because I loved it, and posted it!

In my camera bag

I'd love to say that I have a bag full of equipment but financially, that is not possible for me, so it's just me and my phone!

Feedback

I say even if you don't have a nice camera, but you've got a phone, go for it. I captured this pretty cool image with no fancy camera or tripod or any prior knowledge of photography so really, anything is possible!
