Behind The Lens

Location

The image was made in the butterfly-garden of "De Orchideeenhoeve" in the North-East Polder of the Netherlands.

Time

I made the photograph during daytime in one of the greenhouses.

Lighting

The image was made in a groenhouse. So the daylight was dimmed and scattered. So the were no hard shadows.

Equipment

Canon EOS 5D Mk1 + I think my old 28-135 mm lens (see Exif-info)

Inspiration

The moment was stunning, and I had my camera ready.

Editing

No postprocessing was done. Just developed the CR2 file with Digital Photo Professional (Canon) to jpg-format with Exif included.

In my camera bag

Canon 5D Mk1, Sigma ART 24-105 mm lens, Canon 100-400 mm + 1,4 x convertor, some selfmade pinhole "lenses", pol-filters, ND-filter.

Feedback

Keep a good look around. There is so much to see and to photograph. Try sometimes some techniqs you never used before: f.i. a extra longer shutterspeed than normaly or experiment with depth in field. I never use auto-settings of my camera.
