Location
This Photo was taken whilst I was on my way to a job. I passed the field and saw the young lambs all playing. So because I was due a break, I decided time to snap. I always carry my camera with me, so that I can snap all the stunning/quirky/unusual/funny things I see in my working day. It was taken in Hampshire, location unknown.Time
It was taken in the later afternoon giving a lower casting of the light.Lighting
The light was soft caused by a light thin cloud, and the later time of day. The softer light plays well with the subject matter and its environment.Equipment
Taken with a Canon 70d, handheld, F5.6, high Iso 1600, speed 1/1000, with a canon 100/400mm usm2.Inspiration
I see so many potential photos during the day, it seem a waste to have to return another day wasting precious fuel. So I usually sacrifice my lunch break for the sake of taking several very quick breaks from driving. Nature is just one of things I seem to be drawn towards as a photographer. Lets be honest who doesn't like a baby animal?Editing
I tend to try and capture 95% of my final shot in camera, and on location. Being aware of foreground and other distracting items so as to avoid over editing. So this shot had a slight crop, slight sharpening, and a touch of saturation. I didn't feel it needed much in the way of editing, keeping it more O'natural. In my camera bag
Canon 70d, wide angle, a 50mm prime, and a zoom. I have several other lens however I tend to stick with the 3. Landscape and architecture on wide, people on prime 50mm, animals and pinpointing a single subject on the 100/400, I have also a x1.4 canon extender which gives that bit of extra reach when out photographing wildlife.Feedback
Ok this is tricky, take your camera everywhere you go. never be afraid to snap a shot. I have made some great new friends from all over the world because I like to take random snaps. Pictures of families out and about it's an RAK (Random Acts of Kindness) thing. If I see an interesting shot of people in good locations, and If I am lucky enough to see them later. I show them the shots and then offer to send them to them digitally. We have the tech these days to do it and the thought of one of my shots pleasing others is a real buzz. I don't charge for these, for they are RAK. Passing it forward is a mantra my mother installed in us as kids. I know I wont ever become a rich man, however the wealth of friends I am lucky to have is so much more rewarding.
