Behind The Lens

Location

I took this shot in Bandon, Oregon. It was my first time there. My husband was giving me a lesson in shooting sunsets. I was really happy the gulls decided to be there right when I was shooting as it adds more depth to the shot.

Time

I took this picture at sunset in September of 2017. The wind was blowing a bit and it had gotten chilly.

Lighting

I wanted to capture the beauty of the sunset and the reflection of the sun on the water and the sand.

Equipment

I shot this photo with a Canon EOS Rebel T5i. I had 55mm lens and shot at f13, 1/400 of a sec and ISO 200. I used a tripod but don't recall the brand.

Inspiration

This was our first visit to this beach, and we wanted to get a sunset here and capture the magic glow of sunset here. My husband was giving me a lesson on shooting sunsets, and I was using what he had shown me

Editing

I sharpened the image in light room.

In my camera bag

My Canon Rebel T5i with an 18-135mm lens, Tamron 75-300mm lens, and a polarizing lens
