Location
We were at the Volcanoes National Park in Rwanda with an incredible, gracious and intelligent guide, Bernice Iwacu. We had not found any families yet and sat for a bit before expecting to hear from others by radio. Just as people got out water bottles, etc this gentleman, ISANO, came up behind us - Bernice barely had time to step off the path and get between her party and him; he smiled at her and she smiled back. I had just enough time to snap the photo with my phone because I had taken a picture minutes before. No one else had cameras out because we hadn't seen any gorillas yet.Time
It was morning - but not early because we had walked for at least an hour in our pursuit of a gorilla family. Bernice said at the time that he was traveling solo but would get with his family that day. She also said he was "a silverback to be."Lighting
I had no time to think about anything but wanting to capture the smiles between two beautiful souls. ..Equipment

I am an amateur - but would only say not to underestimate photos taken on your phone.
