Waldo lake is renowned for its clear waters, and I was fortunate enough to travel there on a day with nice weather to fly my drone over the lake. When there is no wind to cause ripples, you can see more than 100 feet down into the lake. From the vantage point of my drone, you can see the different layers of volcanic rock that comprise the lakebed.
