While camping in late Fall in Central Oregon, I awoke before dawn to hike down to the edge of Elk Lake to find it enveloped in fog. As the sun began to rise over the mountains, the fog began retreating from the lake, giving me a brief window to capture the lake, forest, fog, and sunrise in the same image.
