I was lucky. Never thought I'd see such a thing. Two summers ago I ran into this guy. Patiently testing him. Moving only inches to see how close I could get. He stood on the shallow banks of a canal along Kiawah Island. He was calm but in an instance I was mesmerized as he slammed his head down into the water. My first thought was to give him space but noticed he was catching dinner. Immediately, scrambling to get settings right, I shot away hoping I didn't let the moment slip through my fingers. Ahhh, captured as I wanted. I enjoy this photograph, because of the rarity of such an experience... Priceless. Hope you enjoy as much as I do!
