It turns out in Winter the Sun is perfectly aligned with Es Vedrà's peaks. One of the most breath taking natural formations I have ever seen toped by our star. Some people claim to have seen UFO's here and belive there is a secret base located under the island. One such event took place in 1979 when a commercial flight pilot reported a strange rapid moving light accosting his aircraft close to the island. The flight was redirected to Valencia for an emergency landing.
