Here in the Sierra Madre Canyon Wash are remnants of the old Canyon Pool which flourished from 1920 to 1955. During those inclusive years, it was Sierra Madre's main summer attraction where many children including myself first learned how to swim and how to dive off the diving board in the summer of 1952 when I was 9 going on 10. I took this photo with my Canon PowerShot SX160 IS digital camera and subsequently uploaded it into my Picasa3 software in my Toshiba Laptop PC for minor refinements leading up to publication.
