Lower Lewis River Falls in the Gifford Pinchot National Forest, Washington.

Darlene and I had to escape and go for a drive yesterday. We're most at peace when we're together and out in our element. We are both adventurous by nature and feel cooped up if we aren't outside for more than a day or two.

We arrived at this spot just as it was moving in to the twilight hour. This falls is majestic and larger than it looks in photos. At this time there's a large amount of water going over it and the power, especially when you get close is immense.

I would advise everyone to go for a drive to and a walk in a forest today if you have the ability to do so, if not perhaps a city park. Walk, breath and take in the sight, smell and sound of nature. Escape the human created illusions of reality. Experience the real world for a while and then come back and start over again with, hopefully, a different more peaceful and happy mindset.
