Location
Here in Secunda South Africa where I live these flowers come out in fall just before our winter time. They grow wild in our fields. You find them along our roads even.Time
It was taken in the afternoonLighting
Lighting is very tricky . Especially here in South Africa. One minute you have a bright sun , then a cloudy time period .You need to be aware of where you are and the time of day you are taking photos.Equipment
I used a Canon EOS 1300D and a 300 mm Sigma lense on a mono pod .Inspiration
This is my one daughters favourite flower and as she lives by the coast she does not get to see them. The only way she does is if I take photos of them for her. These flowers are called Cosmos.Editing
I try not to do any editing on my photos. If I need to I will change the lighting ,contrast or darken because the photo should speak for itself. I merely correct or fine tune the settings. In my camera bag
I have two Canon cameras. An 2 times extender. A three hundred and a five hundred lens and then the small lenses for protraits.Feedback
Just to relax and enjoy taking your photo. Have fun. Look at taking the photo as you would see it in a painting. Taking photos is like being an artist. You are just using different mediums.
