I caught this clump of claretcup cactus (Echinocereus, species undetermined) in nearly full bloom. In Arizona, near the Mogollon Rim.
By the way - I recently got a photo editing monitor - a Dell U2415 - and all photos, but especially these red blossoms, look much better on the Dell monitor than they do on my laptop. On the Dell monitor, the red in these really glows.
