Made a trip to Grayson Highlands this weekend and did a 3 day backpacking through some gorgeous trails and got to wake up to some ponies waiting for us to greet them. It was incredibly frigid and windy this weekend but made it out with at least this sunset shot from where we made camp for the night. Was it worth hauling the extra 15lbs all weekend for just this shot?

While out shooting the Milky Way at Oak Island, NC the clouds came and found myself moving under the hurricane crippled pier.

The clouds opened up for only a couple minutes to be able to get this shot off while I found this driftwood and cool patterns in the sand.

Someone just had to stop and get a photo of this. Taken at Jennette's Pier in Nags Head - Outer Banks (NC) during sunrise.
