"Alright Mr. DeMille, I'm ready for my close-up" - Sunset Boulevard. The ability to get super close to beautiful birds is my favorite part of visiting Florida. And it is very common for a Great Blue Heron or Great Egret to wander by and stand on the creek wall within a few feet of where I sit outside with my camera. My only difficulty with this shot was trying to get clean bokeh without the neighbor's boat in the background. I did manage for a few clean headshots. Handheld at 700mm. March 8, 2017
