Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken at our dog clubs dock diving class. This is Mia, a 10-year-old Border Collie who also plays flyball.

Time

This photo was taken in the morning on a very hot day in California. Bright sun and no shade.

Lighting

Well, this is a pool so there isn't any shade. I had to lower my exposure compensation about 2 because of a couple of factors. The reflection of the water would have blown out this shot so I adjusted for that.

Equipment

Canon 5DSR - Lens Canon EF 70-200 f/2.8 IS II

Inspiration

I'm the clubs (our dog club) photographer and I try my best to attend all functions that would allow me to capture some great shots of our dogs.

Editing

I start out in Lightroom and then move it over to Photoshop.

In my camera bag

Camera, lens cleaner, and first aid items.

Feedback

Be aware of your conditions. Realize that water does reflect a lot of light back at your lens.
