The image was taken in direct sunlight in the middle of the day.Equipment
I used a Canon 5DSR with a Canon 24 - 105 f.4 lens at 105 MM. It was shot at ISO 200 125, f.5.0Inspiration
I shoot a lot of close ups of flowers, trees, branches, and other things, and use them to create abstract images.Editing
I use Capture One Pro for all of my post processing. I think I was using version 10 in the fall of 2016. I am now at version 11. This image is cropped for a very tight shot of the center of the flower. I used the color editor to bring out both the blue and the red on the edges. I probably adjusted the white balance and the contrast as I usually do.In my camera bag
I always shoot with my Canon 5DSR. I like the 50 mega pixels for clarity, and the fact that I can easily crop without losing details. I own a collection of Canon "L" lenses, and always carry a 16 -36 2.8, 24 - 105 f4 100 -400 zoom. I also use a other lenses depending on the situation. I generally do not use a tripod, except for early morning or sunsets, or if I am looking for special effects in water, etc. I will sometimes use a ND filter or a polarizer.Feedback
I usually have an idea regarding the final image. However, when looking at abstract images I frequently shoot a larger image than I will use in the finished image and then crop and manipulate the image in post. Check at some of my abstract images on my web site. bobweberphotography.com
