This was the afternoon after Bootsie Mavrocatos had her first Bath and Grooming. We just returned home from her Spa Day, and bouncing atop the brick retaining wall is her favorite activity. We call it the Perimeter Sweep.Lighting
The light in late winter, early spring is fairly white. The sun doesn't yet have that warm yellow glow, but on this afternoon leading up to sunset in Late March, the light seemed somehow warmer to me and I was hoping Bootsie's white coat would look true to life.Equipment

Bootsie rescued Me. She ran right up to me on my deck as if she had been waiting for me to come out. My next door neighbor informed me that she had been found a few days earlier outside of a dive bar, tied up in a black hefty bag. Discarded and thrown away in a garbage bag. Left to suffocate and die. His son brought her home, but she didn't seem interested in them at all. The day she ran right up to me, chirping and vocalizing her feelings of joy. Somehow, it felt like she knew I would protect her. On this afternoon, after her first ever Bath and Grooming, I captured this shot while she was on her prowl. Just a moment after capture, she rolled her pretty clean face into the dirt and mud. That's my girl.Editing
I spend as little time in post production as possible. No changes, straight outta camera.In my camera bag
Nikon D750, which you would have to pry from my cold hands. My favorite glass is the 18-200 and more recently my Nikon 50mm 1.8 Prime. I've just made a leap of faith adding the Olympus Mirrorless Micro Four-Thirds OMD EM5 MarkII Weatherproof body and Pro Glass 12-42mm and the prime 17mm. Since I cannot choose a favorite, I will consider big dog for serious gigs, and the Olympus is constantly in my purse for spontaneity and portability necessary for street shooting.Feedback
My preference is to stay on Aperture priority and shoot wide open. Occasionally I will push my ISO way up, and make adjustments on the fly. Shoot away.
