Location
This photo was taken at the Emmen Zoo in the Netherlands.Time
I took the shot around midday. It was a cold but sunny day, almost no wind, no clouds.Lighting
I just used the sunlight. The baboon kid was just too far way for a flash light. Just pure sunlight.Equipment
I took the shot with my Nikon D80 (back then) and a 300mm lens. The stone wall around the animal area was my only support for my arms.Inspiration
It was around feeding time. The monkeys were a bit nervous, excited, running and jumping around to get some food. The mother of the baby baboon left her child to get some food. That was the moment I took the shot.Editing
No, I didn't, there' nothing I changed or adjusted. I call it a lucky shot, everything was right. In my camera bag
Nikon D90, 18-135 and a 70-300 lens.Feedback
Wait for the right moment. Stay focused, move along with the object you choose. Sometimes it takes minutes, but it's worth it. Also, look for the best place/angel with regard to the light. In some situations you have to deal with what Mother Nature gives you.
