Sunset Landing

Avro Lancaster PA474 (KC-A), one of only two flying Lancasters in the world, coming in to land against a golden sunset at RAF Coningsby in the UK. This was taken when the Canadian Lancaster visited the UK. Before they could fly together at shows they had to be given a licence to do so and practised over RAF Coningsby. This was taken the evening of their practice runs from a field near to the base. I have a very soft spot for Avro Lancasters as my eldest brother, who I never knew, was a Wireless Operator in one and was killed returning from a mission,
