Location
This shot was taken at the yacht mole in Simonstown, Cape Town. The unusual lighting with the masts of the moored yachts against the sky begged to be photographed. So I did it!Time
It was late evening in Autumn, just as we were gathering for a few glasses of wine!Lighting
I was intrigued by the stark visuals of the masts against the orange sky and felt it would make a good picture, I purposefully cut off the boats from the shot, because I wanted the masts to stand out the most.Equipment
This was taken with my trusty but non-professional Canon hand held camera.Inspiration
The colours and contrast I saw, inspired me immediately.Editing
No.In my camera bag
I don't have a proper bag, just my camera case. I am trying to save for a better camera and all the extras that go with it to perhaps take better pictures in the future.Feedback
Always keep an eye open for anything unusual that you can portray in a way others can see it too.
