Each day before sunset, these rainbow lorikeets are in a rush to settle on the nearby trees. Sometimes they raise in a large group like this one to get first to the tree tops. What I find special about last night is the beautiful colour of the night sky. There is a lamp post on the left side of the original image which I removed as I find it distracting. I did a minimal tweaking of the light and then cropped it. Edited with iPhoto.
