while I took it the sun was about to start setting and we were looking for the African landscape type with the giant sun and the characteristic plants. Instead we found this magnificent animal that kept us company until dark.Lighting
as always, the light at sunset gives wonderful effects, especially in Africa. This day was not far behind and allowed us to take several photos that are among our favoritesEquipment

as said before, we were looking for a composition similar to this, the one that comes to mind when you think of the African sunset: orange sky with the sun that looks like a fire red ball, desert ground with a flat-crowned tree typical of Africa and a few silhouettes of animals. Unfortunately we did not find any of this that evening and we decided to change our observation point; turn away from the sun. this is how we found this composition and immediately fell in love with it.Editing
as a post composition I have not done much, practically nothing if not white balance and correct saturationIn my camera bag
most of the time I travel light: Canon EOS 70D canon 70-200 f / 4 samyang 14 f / 2.8 manfrotto befree Flash canon 18-55Feedback
my main tips are: travel, take lots of photos and try to reproduce the shot you have in your head, sometimes get carried away by the moment since often unplanned things are born great photos, look at the photos of others and be patient and not be disheartened if we don't get some award-winning photos right away.
