Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo when I was in Baguio City, Philippines. This place is also known as the Summer Capital of the Philippines. For all I know, its landform is a plateau, or it is much elevated than the other places in the country. Its wind breeze is colder and can give you chilling feeling. As such, it made the place for tourists who want to experience this kind of breeze of air. Furthermore, the view of mountains which surrounds the place can give you some kind of experience.

Time

I took this photo in the middle of the day during our tour in Baguio City. I was quite confused as to how I can be able to compose a good picture out of it since I am just a hobbyist without any experience in photography and just beginning to enhance my skills to it. The place is just magnificent that I committed myself to reflect it into a picture.

Lighting

When viewed in person, the details of the mountain can really be seen given that the lighting that time was midday. That was the reason why on post-processing, I had set it with a little bit higher exposure and low on highlights for the details of the clouds may be seen.

Equipment

Because I am a just a beginner and just learning on how to create a good shot, I just used the camera of my mobile phone, Iphone 5s. I didn't really expect this to look better on a bigger monitor.

Inspiration

Well, I really am an aspirant photographer. I am learning to enhance my skills. I took advantage of our touring in Baguio City to capture its beauty. Though I do not have a DSLR camera, I don't see it as a hindrance. I believe that regardless of the gadget used, it is on the photographer and his passion for photography that takes.

Editing

Yes, I did. I just used the Adobe Lightroom Photoshop. Though I don't have more presets for it, I just learned in my own way how would it look pleasing.

In my camera bag

For a beginner like me, I don't really have that many gadgets invested. I don't have enough means to buy the gadgets I needed. So, there, I only have my IPhone 5s in my pocket and a clip lens for some kind of effects which I used in my other shots.

Feedback

I think this is better to be captured in a higher place. Like, use a drone.
