This is a replica of the plane invented by a team of young men put together by Mabel Bell, wife of Alexander Graham Bell to challenge him in his old age. Within two years they went from kites to this, the first flight in all of the British Empire 2-23-1909. Casey Baldwin, J.A.D. MacCurdy, Thomas Selfridge, and Glenn Curtis were the team.
