Behind The Lens

Location

The photo was taken in Zermatt ( switzerland) on the rack railway train to the Gornergrat, it was at a stop to pick up skiers. On a beautiful sunny day with wind and cold temperatures on Christmas day.

Time

It was at 09.45 going up the mountain.

Lighting

The time of the day was ideal for the lighting, and temperatures of -3C, gives it a real blue effect.

Equipment

Camera i have for years is a NIKON D90 , 55 mm lenz, i never use flash.

Inspiration

Love the mountains and the snow on high altitudes, given the wonderful weather conditions is perfect to enjoy all the views in the snow around you. that day took about 500 pics.

Editing

Didn't have to do anything, it was the picture as taken with the camera.

In my camera bag

Due to my job as tour manager, and traveling with a group, i can not take a big bag just my camera

Feedback

i would say waiting for the right time to take a picture, time of the day is very important, summer would be early evening, because of temp. drop in winter afternoon. in the mountains ,morning until 11.00 depending on the hight, The higher you are with low temperature give perfect pictures.
