The magnificent Baobab tree. Dotted around the arid regions of Africa. These trees eminate a auro of wisdom and eternity. Sites and sights like these make me long for travel around Africa. This photo was taken on our journey through South Africa's remote National Parks. Mapungubwe National Park straddles the border with Botswana and Zimbabwe and is most know for the golden rhino that was found there. A relic from the area's influence as Southern Africa's first great kingdom. This tree will have witnessed that golden age of the Mapngubwe kingdom.
