This photograph is taken at Sunset Beach which is a beach located near Cape May Point, along the Delaware Bay, in the U.S. state of New Jersey.
It was an early September late afternoon and the setting was not quite appropriate for a sunset (either to view or to photograph). It remained overcast for the entire day but I decided to take a chance with the sunset as I do not frequent Cape may often. I had my tripod and cameras set but it looked like there is noway I can view the beauty I have often read about. But as they say, patience is the key to virtue and I learned it that day. It was almost dark and the clouds suddenly started disappearing and a hue of bright red, orange and yellow popped out of nowhere and painted the sky and the ocean. It was one mesmerizing sight to witness. Not sure how much of a justice I could do to the beauty i witnessed, but this is on of the best I have ever taken. Tried with long exposure and 10 stop gradient filter.
