In Reverence

A few months ago, I lost a very special family member. She had such an impact on my life that when she passed, I felt like I was drowning. Recalling those feelings, I wanted to develop an image which encompassed that. Instead of simply creating an image of myself drowning, I really thought about not only those feelings, but also what my family member would have wanted. She would have wanted me to not stay depressed over her passing, but remember her for the incredible life she lived. So I couldn't just do an image of myself drowning then - just didn't fit. I decided I would have myself sinking, yet I'm still able to breathe - still able to live my life to the fullest.
