Palouse Falls State Park is a 105-acre camping park with unique geology. The park offers a dramatic view of one of the state's most beautiful waterfalls. Palouse Falls drops from a height of 198-feet with high volumes of water flow in spring and early summer. You have to drive through a livestock pasture to get to the Falls. This picture was taken in February of 2016

Location
Palouse Falls in Washington State, is among the last active waterfalls on the Ice Age floods path. This natural wonder was named Washington’s state waterfall in 2014.This photo was taken on Valentines Day.Time
My boyfriend and I had decided to take our first road trip with our new puppy and get him into nature. I love to hike and knew that "Archer" would be my new hiking buddy and outdoor adventure partner. It was around noon that we arrived at the falls and the rain had just stopped.Lighting
The sky was still gray from the morning rain so the walls were moody and dark. I'm glad we were there in February so the green on the rocks was still fresh.Equipment

The Palouse State Park is a favorite hiking spot. In the early spring, water run off seems to be the best. I enjoy taking photo's of the falls at all times of the year.Editing

I always carry four lenses with me and explore the variety each lens gives me. Minolta 75-300, Sony18-70, Sigma 10-20 and a Sony 55-200. Sometimes I toss in the Minolta 49mm lens.Feedback
I explore the angels that the falls can be taken from. I enjoy shooting morning or evening light. The lenses I bring with me gives each shot a different perspective and I play with the camera settings.
