We stopped off at Moeraki en route from the Otago Peninsula to Oamaru, with only a vague idea that the tide might be out enough to get a look at the boulders. They are fascinating up close, but also look beautiful with the water lapping around them. With no tripod, and people milling around all of the time, this really did have to be a quick snap.
