A trip to Antarctica may be much easier than it was in Shackleton's day, but the vastness and sheer force of nature there still make it feel like a real adventure. I had expected it to beautiful, but I hadn't expected the white continent to be so colourful. The red of the Argentine hut, the blues of the glaciers, and the pink and green hues of the algae tinged snow, made this a favourite photo of mine, even before you add the fur seal and penguins.
