Deception Island in Antarctica is not really an island at all, but the flooded caldera of an active volcano. We sailed into the volcano and had a helicopter ride over the top, which is how I got this shot. To give you an idea of the scale, that little speck that you can see where the water meets the ice at the left side of the picture, is our ship.
