I sat around and watched the elk graze in open fields in the Cataloochee section of the Great Smoky Mountains. I eventually found a small group. Some where resting under the shade and some where grazing. After a little bit of grazing the standing female elk came over to the resting one for a quick beautiful moment. then went on up the field to graze. It was a quick acknowledgment that seemed so perfect.
