Location
This photo was taken at the Loretto Chapel in Santa Fe, New Mexico.Time
This was shot in the early afternoon. We had gone up there to show the Chapel off to some family that was in town for a Family Wedding.Lighting
Since it is normally sunny here in New Mexico, the lighting is usually great. The nice thing about the Chapel is that it has the stain glass windows. The light filters in as long as the sun is up, and it sets a very ambiance for any pictures you are taking.Equipment
I had recently purchased a Canon T6 kit, and was using the 18-55mm lens. This was one of the inaugural pictures taken with it.Inspiration
Years ago, I had performed a Wedding in this Chapel. It was a breathtaking spectacle! I had a chance to revisit it with the visiting family, and it was no less amazing to be in that Chapel. The story behind the stair case is in awe inspiring no matter how many times you hear or see it.Editing
I did nothing to alter this picture. In my camera bag
Canon T6 with the 18-55mm lens is my standard. I always have 75-300mm lens with me as well. Every lens has a UV filter on it because of how bright it can be inside. If I'm feeling adventurous, the tripod is attached to the side so that I can get some more steady shots if needed.Feedback
Patience. I tell people all the time that photography is 50% luck and 50% patience. If you are willing to wait for a good shot, you will usually have a chance to capture something amazing.
