Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo in Raymore, MO while visiting our son and family. Their home was on the golf course that had a native plant boundary between the homeowners property and the golf course.

Time

The sun was just setting as a storm was rolling in.

Lighting

Just natural lighting was used.

Equipment

I used my Nikon D80, handheld, Aperture 50/10?ISO 200?Shutter 10/1000?Focal Length 520/10. I used auto focus and that is what the results were.

Inspiration

I love sunsets and when I saw this view, I knew it would make a nice photo. I also love silhouette shots.

Editing

This is pretty much how the shot looked through the view finder. I did crop it some. And added a touch of saturation.

In my camera bag

Besides my Nikon D80, I have 2 lenses I carry full time. A 70-300 zoom and my go-to Nikon DX, 18-105 67mm. I always have backup batteries, cleaning supplies, extra SD cards, a few dollars cash if I want to tip someone for letting me snap their photo, and a few more basics.

Feedback

Shoot from different angles as I did here. I got very low to the ground and shot looking slightly up.
