First of all this a real couch in a lake. My friend and I hauled it all the way to the location spot and waited for the sun to go down to get this photograph. The subject was suppose to be me but it didn't come out nearly as good as this one. This photo was taken so that I could see how it would look so that we could change places. The reason I worked so hard on this photograph and wanted to be in the photograph is because I have been through some really tough times in my life which caused me to be very sad and shed many tears. The first time was when I was 23 years old (1994) and I had to answer some really tough questions about who I was, why I felt the way I did about myself, and how I got myself where I was in life. During that time I had to dig deep to answer a lot more questions which caused a lot of emotional pain but it paid off and I am very thankful to God for helping me get through it.
The next time I struggled with emotional pain was Dec. 25th 2009 when I found out my mother had 2 tumors on her brain. She lived until March 17, 2010. It was a very tough year for me but thanks to the Lord He got me through it and made me stronger.
I still have my days and I am glad I do because it makes me that much more thankful for God's promises in His Holy Word. Revelation 21:4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
